I have put together an eclectic body of work that is a reflection of how I see the world.
Advances in equipment and software allow me to push the envelope of creativity and produce images that blur the line between painting and photography. I refer to my work as “Interpreted photography.”
Unless specifically notated, I never add anything to an image that wasn’t there when I shot the photo. Beyond that, I let my imagination and the tools at my disposal interpret the image to produce the most visually interesting outcome.
If you find my work esthetically pleasing… if my images reveal some aspect of your surroundings that you aren’t likely to pay attention to otherwise… if they make you see the world in a different way… then I have succeeded in doing what I set out to do.
- Every image is printed to order. None of my work is mass produced in any form.
- I use museum grade photo paper, ink, canvas and sealer. Kept out of direct sunlight... which will fade any print... any image you order from me should last 100 years or more.
- Prints on photo paper are sized to fit common frame sizes so they shouldn't require custom framing.
- Canvas prints are sealed and stretched by hand. Each canvas print is either gallery wrapped or it has black edges so it can be hung without needing a frame.
If youy'd like tips and guidance with the goal of eventually getting your work into art galleries, I'm also available for photography lessons.
